Workshop Benches and vaccinations for the ewes

Our ewes needed their yearly vaccinations today.  We hopped into the "corral", pinched the skin into a "tent" and inserted the needle.  Easy for us, didn't seem to phase them much.  Glad it is done.  We're now completely ready for lambing season!

Josh Buel is re-organizing and cleaning up the work shop.  Our task today was to build two work benches that are sturdy enough to handle the variety of projects we will take on.

Here are some steps to accomplishing our new workbench.  The goal was "more narrow" and very sturdy.

First, Clutch the farmcat sat on the wood and approved of it!
Next Josh explained to us the steps

Cut the legs to the right length

Cut the notches that hold the cross beams

Assemble the legs and cross pieces

I forgot to snap a photo of assembling the top but I was pleased to be able to use the electrical planer.  We then screwed the boards to the tops and carried them into their new places.
