This morning we learned some more about bees in general and specifically how we will manage the bees here at Maggie's farm.

This afternoon, we seeded more alliums (leeks, shallots, chives) and herbs (parsley, sage and rosemary, we ran out of Thyme...)

The duck who lives with our chickens looked to be the victim of some unhappy chickens. We set her up with her own pen--the old broiler's coop--and hope that she heals quickly.
What's up with the violence in the chicken coop lately? Are they angry that you went to Italy without them?
ReplyDeleteMr. Duck looks down on his luck, not at all like that Aflack wise guy. I don't think he'll be bothering any chickens for a while.
ReplyDeleteBob, the duck was being attacked by the chickens! She had a bloody wing and some wounds on her head. She's looking better now.
ReplyDeleteGinni--there were some possums living in the coop while we were gone. They exacted revenge, as Brian found out...
