Veterinary overview and more hedgerow clearing

We spent the morning with Dr. Ledeaux, our local large animal vet.  He went over specifics for the care and observation for each of our animals.

Horse illnesses, care and treatments

Our group tackled the hedgerows in the North Orange fields.

As we applied loppers and saws

We were also delighted to see our garlic sprouting up.  It was planted back on October 19, 2010.  (see http://leethefarmer.blogspot.com/2010/10/field-studies-garlic-planting-and.html).  It is amazing to think that the ground has been frozen for several months, yet these garlic set roots and now have the gumption to sprout.  It must have been our Nate-led field blessing!

These shoots are about an inch tall.
